OrderPay recognised by The UK Tech Awards
We’re not one for long-winded speeches, so we’ll keep this short and sweet. We’ve had a pretty exceptional year, so it’s great to see our hard work recognised by the UK Business Tech Awards – as we’ve been nominated for not just one, but two awards.
The UK Business Tech Awards in their own words “celebrate the UK’s finest tech businesses and reward innovative and exceptional application of technology to transform and grow businesses.” So without further ado or too much showboating, here’s a little more about the awards we’re up for:
SaaS Company of the Year
It’s great to be representing the hospitality industry in the SaaS category – as we’ve been redefining what software innovation looks like for venues typically not tech-heavy, like pubs or cafes. Our flexible solutions allowed us to thrive beyond the 2020 table-ordering rush, as we have continually supported venues, operators and customers in a sustained and service-driven way.
Also, as a rapidly growing company of over 50 employees, it’s nice to get a nod for the way we run a tight ship. We’ve got a lot of serious talent from design, software development, sales, onboarding and yes… marketing (who definitely aren’t writing this post now).
Tech Deal of the Year (OrderPay and TUCO)
We’re always thinking about what venues could benefit from OrderPay beyond restaurants and bars, and our partnership with TUCO (The University Catering Organisation) really got us excited about the potential of our solutions.
After a competitive tender, we secured an exclusive 9-year contract to place QR codes in every dorm room at TUCO’s 130 partner universities. This also means we’re helping out local and on-campus restaurants by offering fees up to 80% lower than food-delivery apps such as Deliveroo or Just Eat.
